A fine compilation of significant chamber music by Erwin Schulhoff (1894-1942), a gifted and prolific composer who was doomed to die in a Nazi concentration camp with an eighth symphony unfinished.

His music is various, "impossible to pin down stylistically" and rewarding to explore. Played here by an expert team and vividly recorded in Hannover, this oeuvre is music for up-coming violinists to take into their repertoires.
